The Auxiliary Police Benevolent Association provides a number of different benefits to our membership. We are constantly working to improve those benefits but, below is a list of the current available benefits to our members.
As a member of the APBA, one of the primary benefits of membership is union representation. The APBA will provide you with representation in all cases of discipline by your command, including suspension, demotion and dismissal. Union representation is provided at all stages of the grievance and/or arbitration process. Including whenever you are the subject of an internal affairs investigation or supervisory investigation and are ordered to answer questions whether it be a verbal statement or submission of a memorandum.
We are in your corner to make sure you are treated fairly and with expert representation.
As a member of the Auxiliary Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York you’re entitled to a program that can help you understand the decisions you need to make later in life, and may save you money.
The Dignity Memorial® Network, North America’s largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers, is pleased to offer the Dignity Memorial Funeral and Cremation Benefits Program to the Auxiliary Police Benevolent Association of the City of New York and it’s members at no cost. The Dignity Memorial Network affiliates are currently working with the Auxiliary Police Benevolent Association officials to bring the Dignity Memorial Benefits Program to you. These benefits will be available to you whether you choose to pre-arrange your funeral or decide to use them in your time of need. This program will provide the following benefits to all Auxiliary members and their spouses.
